Originally from Barnwell, SC, Suzy answered her call to the mission field by moving from Charleston to Honduras in 1990.
Suzy served as a director of the ministry for many years, but it was always her vision to raise up Honduran leadership. Suzy now serves as a missionary to the organization she built. As Spiritual Director, Suzy serves as the pastor of the congregation (LAMB staff and children) at the children’s home, The Church of the Good Shepherd. She also coordinates devotionals and retreats for LAMB staff and children.
A multi-gifted person, Suzy conveys through her life the power and effectiveness of a person willing to follow the LAMB wherever He goes. She is a lover of language – written, spoken, sung, prayed – and is an amazing communicator in word and deed of the love of God, pointing many to our mighty God with fierce abandon. Suzy is loved by children, teenagers, the old and young alike. She has a quick and hearty laugh and the ability to “comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.”
Suzy lives in San Vincente, between the LAMB campus in Flor del Campo and the children’s home in San Buanaventura. Suzy has 7 adopted Honduran children of her own: Sarahi, Mari, Noe, Lety, Sallie, Elsa, and Lucy, and one adopted, grandson, Sammy.
